Diversified Selection Pathways

- Selection Camps assess applicants' comprehensive aptitudes, holistically evaluating academic foundations, research potential, and overall capabilities.

- The Programming Competition emphasizes practical technical skills, precisely aligning with innovation demands in specific disciplines.

Applicants may demonstrate their qualities, abilities, and potential through the corresponding pathways. Interdisciplinary applicants are particularly encouraged to apply. Differentiated weighted scoring mechanisms will be adopted across pathways to fully accommodate the characteristics of diverse talents.

I. Selection Camp

1. Application System

a) Chinese applicants can submit their applications via the SLAI Selection Application System.  

b) International applicants can submit their applications via the SLAI Selection Application System（https://sis.slai.edu.cn/admission/）. Once on the website, please select the option for “2026年 International Applicants” to proceed with application.

2. Provisional Admission Announcement

The provisional admission list will be publicly announced on the official website for a minimum of five working days.

3. Conversion of Provisional Offer to Formal Offer

To obtain a formal offer, applicants must meet the following requirements:

- A provisional offer from SLAI;

- A formal Ph.D. offer from one of the 37 partner universities;

- A joint training recommendation from the university that issued the Ph.D. offer.

II. Programming Competition

This event, which follows the ICPC international competition format, is open to students worldwide. It assesses participants' abilities in programming languages, data structures, algorithm design, logical reasoning, mathematical analysis, and scientific research. Applicants interested in SLAI are also encouraged to participate.
