Vice Dean of Guangzhou Research Institute, Xidian University, Second-Grade Professor, PhD Supervisor. Prof. Liu has long been engaged in research on intelligent optimization, cognition, prediction and control of complex network systems, time series analysis, and computer vision. She has co-authored 4 monographs and published more than 160 papers in international journals and over 100 papers in international conferences. She served as an Associate Editor of **IEEE Transactions on Evolutionary Computation**—a top-tier journal in the field of artificial intelligence—from 2015 to 2020, and as Chair of the Emerging Technologies Technical Committee of the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society from 2017 to 2018.

She has presided over a number of national, provincial and ministerial-level scientific research projects. Her academic and research accolades include: the Second Prize of the National Natural Science Award (as the third completer) in 2013; the Second Prize of the Wu Wenjun Artificial Intelligence Science and Technology Innovation Award (Individual Award) in 2014; selection for the National Young Talent Program in 2015; selection for the National Talent Program in 2018; and being accredited as a Specialist Enjoying the Special Government Allowance of the State Council in the same year (2018).
