Dr. Guan is a recipient of the National Young Talent Program. She obtained her Master’s degree from the National University of Singapore, and earned her Ph.D. and completed her postdoctoral research at Monash University, Australia. She also has six years of professional experience in renowned overseas enterprises.

Her primary research interests include multimedia content analysis and retrieval, multimodal large language models, and embodied intelligence. She has published more than 100 papers in CCF Class A conferences and ACM/IEEE transactions, authored 4 English academic monographs, and holds 10 authorized national invention patents. Her research achievements have garnered 9 gold awards in Grand Challenges hosted by CCF Class A conferences.

Dr. Guan has led several key research projects, including General Programs and Joint Fund Key Programs of the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC). With a strong focus on translating academic outcomes into practical applications, parts of her research findings have been adopted by leading enterprises such as HP, Alibaba, Kuaishou, and Ant Group.

Beyond her research endeavors, Dr. Guan is actively engaged in academic services. She serves as an Associate Editor (AE) for IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics (IEEE TII) and acts as a reviewer for over 20 CCF Class A conferences and ACM/IEEE transactions.
