Shenzhen Loop Area Institute and Tencent Forge Strategic Partnership
On November 28, 2025, the Shenzhen Loop Area Institute and Tencent Technology (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd. formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on institute-enterprise collaboration. The two parties reached a deep strategic partnership in areas including artificial intelligence talent cultivation, scientific research cooperation, and joint project development, ushering in a new chapter of institute-enterprise collaborative innovation.

At the signing ceremony, core representatives from both sides attended and delivered addresses, including Professor Zhiquan Luo, Executive Dean of the Shenzhen Loop Area Institute, and Dan Xi, Senior Vice President and Chief People Officer of Tencent.
Dean Luo stated that the Shenzhen Loop Area Institute is consistently committed to its mission of cultivating top-tier innovative talent and tackling cutting-edge technological challenges. By leveraging the advantages of the Greater Bay Area to gather leading scholars, this collaboration with Tencent will fully integrate the Institute's academic and research strengths with Tencent's industrial resources. This synergy will ensure academic research aligns with industry needs and talent development meets the demands of the times, striving to build an international talent agglomeration effect benchmarked against the San Francisco Bay Area.
Senior Vice President Dan Xi expressed high recognition for the Institute's educational positioning and development vision. He pointed out that Tencent will leverage the unique advantages of the Greater Bay Area. On one hand, it will utilize the international strengths of Hong Kong and Macao to break down barriers in talent exchange and attract top global young talent. On the other hand, it will deepen the integration of industry, academia, and research to promote the cultivation and two-way flow of the Institute's outstanding talent. Both parties will subsequently establish regular communication mechanisms to advance the implementation of the collaboration.
