Prof. John-John Cabibihan

John-John Cabibihan现任卡塔尔大学机械与工业工程系教授。2008年至2013年，他曾任新加坡国立大学电气与计算机工程系助理教授。2007年，他于意大利比萨圣安娜高等学校取得生物工程博士学位，研究方向为生物机器人学。攻读博士期间，他于2004—2005年获得联合培养博士项目奖学金，赴法国巴黎萨克雷高等师范学院深造，在力学与技术实验室开展柔性材料相关研究。2021年，他在英国牛津大学赛德商学院完成创业孵化与金融项目学习。

Cabibihan教授已独立及合作发表200余篇同行评审论文，参与主编15部以上著作，拥有20项专利家族发明。他是《国际社交机器人期刊》创刊助理编辑，并牵头推动国际社交机器人大会（ICSR）创立。目前担任CRC出版社机器人、人工智能与艺术丛书主编。他的研究聚焦社交机器人、人机交互与人本技术交叉领域，应用场景涵盖医疗健康、康复工程与人道援助领域，研究融合工程技术、设计理念与实地落地应用。相关研究成果曾刊登于《自然・材料》，并被《麻省理工科技评论》、英国广播公司、《大众科学》、《新科学家》、探索新闻，以及《半岛报》头版等众多媒体报道。其团队项目受邀在卡塔尔博物馆与英国文化教育协会联合举办的时尚设计展（时尚机器人）、多哈世界移动通信大会、有各国政要出席的圣彼得堡国际经济论坛展出。

John-John Cabibihan is a Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, Qatar University. He was previously an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, National University of Singapore from 2008 to 2013. He received his Ph.D. in Bioengineering, with specialization in Biorobotics, from Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna, Pisa, Italy, in 2007. Abstract

机器人如何借助触觉真正与人建立联结？本次讲座将介绍一系列人工触觉系统设计，其灵感源自人类的触觉感受、反馈机制与感知能力。本次报告将简要概述在人工皮肤、触觉传感以及仿人机械手方面的研究工作。这类机械手能够复刻人手多项核心功能，可应用于人形机器人与上肢假肢两大领域。结合实景演示，本次讲座将展示这些技术如何使人机交互变得更加自然、富有意义，并具备情感感染力。本次讲座内容节选自Cabibihan博士的著作《仿生触觉拟人化：皮肤、传感与结构》（爱思唯尔出版社，2026年），同时融入了在战乱地区与截肢者合作开展实地研究获得的经验。

How can robots truly connect with people through touch? This talk presents designs of artificial tactile systems inspired by the human sense of touch, feedback, and perception. This talk will present a brief overview of work on artificial skins, tactile sensing, and robotic hands that can replicate some of the critical functions of the human hand, with applications in both humanoid robotics and upper-limb prosthetics. Through real-world demonstrations, this talk will show how these technologies enable more natural, meaningful, and emotionally engaging interactions between humans and machines. This talk includes selected insights from Prof. Cabibihan's book, Humanizing Artificial Touch: Skin, Sensing, and Structures (Elsevier, 2026) and field experience working with amputees from conflict-affected settings.
