Dr. Minghui Dong is an Associate Professor at Shenzhen Loop Area Institute and a National Leading Talent under China's National High-Level Overseas Talent Recruitment Program. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the National University of Singapore, an M.Sc. from Peking University, and a B.Sc. from the University of Science and Technology of China. From 2004 to 2024 he was Laboratory Head and Principal Scientist at the Institute for Infocomm Research (I²R), A*STAR, Singapore, where he led over twenty government and industry projects, with systems deployed across Singapore's education, healthcare, defence and public services. He chairs ISCA's SIG-CSLP, serves as Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Asian Language Processing(IJALP) and Vice President of Chinese and Oriental Languages Information Processing Society(COLIPS), and has held general or program chair roles at over thirty international conferences. His research covers speech generation, speech understanding, multimodal interaction, large models and agents, and social intelligence.
