Yuan Liu is currently an Assistant Professor and PhD Supervisor at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST). He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Hong Kong (HKU). He then conducted postdoctoral research at Nanyang Technological University (NTU). His research focuses on 3D computer vision and computer graphics. He is dedicated to developing fast, efficient, and accurate methods for 3D reconstruction, 3D generation, and video generation using artificial intelligence, with applications in film, animation, games, survey and robotics. His representative works, including SyncDreamer, NeuS, and PVNet, have been widely recognized in the community and become foundational algorithms in the field. He has published many papers in top-tier conferences and journals in computer vision and graphics (such as CVPR, ECCV, ICCV, NeurIPS, SIGGRAPH, ICLR, etc.),
